Content Analysis (AI-Assisted Text Evaluation)

Scope of Data Processing

When you submit a text or a web address (URL) for evaluation through our application, the submitted content — or the content publicly available at that URL — is analyzed for persuasion and manipulation techniques using AI-assisted language models. The purpose of this processing is to promote media literacy by making linguistic mechanisms of influence visible.

Legal Basis

The legal basis is your consent pursuant to Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR, which you actively give before each analysis. Where an analysis is carried out without separate consent, we base it on our legitimate interest in operating the service pursuant to Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR.

What Data Is Stored / Retention

The submitted full text is not stored permanently. We permanently store only the calculated result (score), abstract summaries, short quotations that justify the detected techniques, and technical processing metrics. A shortened excerpt of the analyzed content may be retained temporarily to display the result. The content transmitted for analysis is processed by our service providers only temporarily to carry out the analysis.

Recipients / Processors

To carry out the analysis, we use carefully selected service providers as processors (Art. 28 GDPR), in particular:

• providers of AI-assisted language models to analyze the content,
• a service for extracting publicly available web content (when a URL is submitted),
• hosting and infrastructure providers for operating the application.

Data processing agreements are in place with these service providers.

Transfer to Third Countries

Insofar as individual service providers process personal data outside the EU or the EEA, this is done on the basis of appropriate safeguards within the meaning of Art. 44 et seq. GDPR (in particular EU Standard Contractual Clauses) or an adequacy decision.

Data Minimization

Entering personal data is not required for the analysis. Please do not enter any personal data about yourself or third parties into the input field. At exhibition stations, input is limited to publicly available web addresses (URLs).

Revocation of Consent

You can revoke consent you have given at any time with effect for the future. The lawfulness of processing carried out up to the revocation remains unaffected.
